Senior CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat, on Tuesday (April 14, 2026), charged that AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami was paving the way for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the RSS to enter Tamil Nadu.

“He is bringing in such a toxic force, which has discriminated against Tamil Nadu over the past five years. The rights of Tamil Nadu, particularly its financial rights, have been undermined, curtailed and denied. They have tried to blackmail Tamil Nadu and obstruct its progress. They have also attempted to impose the three-language formula,” she said, and appreciated Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for resisting the BJP and protecting Tamil language and culture.
