Electoral outcomes reflect the people’s mandate and, in a robust democracy, leadership also means accepting both victories and defeats with grace and humility, observes Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has stated that the unanimous clarification issued by the Election Commission, led by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alongside Election Commissioners S.S. Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls reaffirmed the integrity and credibility of India’s constitutional bodies and put to rest all the misconceptions surrounding the process.
The decisions concerning the SIR were taken collectively and in strict adherence to established institutional protocols, Mr. Naidu observed in a social media post on Saturday (September 26, 2026).

Mr. Naidu noted that attempts to undermine global confidence in India’s democratic framework or electoral processes for short-term political gain were “deeply unfortunate.”
“Electoral outcomes reflect the people’s mandate and in a robust democracy, leadership also means accepting both victories and defeats with grace and humility,” he commented, adding that it was the collective responsibility of leaders across party lines to uphold public confidence in India’s democratic process.
