Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, in collaboration with the Indian Resuscitation Council Federation (IRCF), conducted a training programme on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the staff, here on the campus on Wednesday.

The programme was organised with the aim of empowering citizens and institutional staff with essential life-saving skills, a press release said.

University Vice-Chancellor P. Chandrasekhar emphasised the critical role of early resuscitation and the university’s commitment to providing life-support training to the public. Dr. NTRUHS registrar V. Radhika Reddy also attended the programme.

IRCF Chairman S.S.C. Chakra Rao underscored the critical need for CPR for every citizen of India, aligning it with the Union government’s ‘Make in India’ vision to build self-reliant, indigenous life-saving training systems and empower every citizen to respond effectively to medical emergencies.

More than 150 employees of Dr. NTRUHS participated in the programme.
