Srikalahasti MLA Bojjala Venkata Sudhir Reddy presented house site pattas to those who lost land at CBIT Colony in Renigunta, here on Tuesday. The beneficiaries were given 3 cents of land for the 1.5 cents acquired for the expansion of the Renigunta-Chennai railway line project.

Speaking after distributing the pattas, the MLA thanked the government for providing double the area of land as compensation to the victims to realise the dream of building their own houses.

As many as 51 beneficiaries were given lands, he said. Mr. Reddy called it an example of compassionate approach of the NDA alliance regime towards the poor and needy.
