The South of India Kennel Club (SIKC), Ooty, is conducting its 138th and139th memorial dog show starting from Saturday, May 9, 2026, a press release said.

The 104th obedience test and Dachsund, Beagle and Indian breeds speciality shows is to take place at the Government Arts College ground in Udhagamandalam on Saturday, the press release added. The show will be held on May 9 and 10.

The obedience test is to be judged by Philip Butt and the all breeds shows by Yulia Olkova of Kazakhstan, Victor Lobakin of Azerbaijan and Gragam Kerr of Australia. The speciality shows are judged by Preetam and Quique Boza Alpheratz of Spain, the release stated.

The memorial show is to be conducted in memory of Dharmu, an “elderly and oldest life member of the SIKC and an animal lover,” the SIKC said.

This year, the show has 435 entries for the all breeds shows from over 55 different breeds and an all time high of 55 entries for the Indian Breeds speciality competition.

“President of the club, Ms. Rajini Krishnamurthy, with the support of the show committee, is making all arrangements to make the show a grand success. We have requested the Collector to distribute the prizes,” the release added.
