A 38-year-old doctor was found dead in her flat at Padmarao Nagar in Chilkalguda on Friday (November 21, 20225). Police got to know about it on Saturday. . The deceased was identified as Rohini, an MBBS graduate who had studied in Russia.

Investigators said she had been troubled by personal setbacks. “Preliminary questioning revealed that she was reportedly distressed about not finding a suitable match for marriage and had also been facing repeated hurdles while trying to secure a visa to move to the United States. Her family told police that these problems had gradually pushed her into severe anxiety over the past few months,” said a police officer.

A note was recovered from the flat in which she stated that nobody was responsible for her death and asked that no efforts be made to resuscitate her, with a mention of visa made in it. The body has been shifted for post mortem examination, and Chilkalguda police have registered a case of suspicious death. Further investigation is in progress.
