Lanka Dinakar, Chairman, Twenty Points Programme (Viksit Bharat–Swarna Andhra Pradesh) Implementation, has said that `Self-Declared Dimagi Naxals’ are dangerous to achieving Viksit Bharat.

Mr. Dinakar said on August 15, 2026, while delivering his speech on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi used the term “Dimagi Naxalite” to describe those who pose a problem to the growth and prosperity of our country and to the achievement of Viksit Bharat. The Prime Minister did not name any individual as a “Dimagi Naxalite.”

“Now, a few people have come forward and appear to be removing their masks. My question is: Why has P. Chidambaram portrayed himself as a self-declared “Dimagi Naxalite,” he said. Mr Dinakar asked whether Mr. Chidambaram dares to answer how many police personnel and innocent people were killed by Naxalites between 2004 and 2014 during the UPA Government, how many times were police weapons looted by Naxals between 2004 and 2014 during the UPA Government, and how many districts were affected by Naxalism in 2013?

“Let Mr. Chidambaram dare to discuss the current situation in comparison with that of the previous UPA Government, particularly with regard to the eradication of the impact of Naxalites in the country,” he said.
