Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta on Friday (June 26, 2026) reviewed policing, law and order, crime prevention and public safety measures during a high-level meeting with senior police officers of Chittoor district, and directed the force to further strengthen technology-driven and citizen-centric policing.

The review, attended by Additional DGP Madhusudan Reddy, Anantapur Range IG Shemushi, Chittoor SP Tushar Dudi and other officers, focused on crime control, surveillance and public service delivery.

Presenting the district’s initiatives, Mr. Tushar Dudi highlighted drone-assisted policing, Command and Control Centre monitoring, expanded CCTV surveillance, anti-drug enforcement, drug testing and awareness campaigns. He also briefed the DGP on women’s safety initiatives through the Shakti Team and citizen-focused programmes, including Dhairya Sparsha, Jan Vishwas and Surakshita Chittoor.

Commending the district police, Mr. Gupta said the technology-backed initiatives had strengthened public confidence, and directed officers to continue delivering transparent, efficient and responsive policing across the district.
