Ramzan, culminating in Eid-ul-Fitr, was marked by celebrations of devotion and community spirit in various towns in Chittoor, Annamayya, and Sri Sathya Sai districts on Saturday.

In Chittoor district, a large congregation was seen at Greamspet, where devout Muslims gathered at the mosque early in the morning. Dressed in traditional attire, they offered prayers and greeted one another after ‘namaz’. Later, families spent time together, sharing food and visiting relatives. Police maintained bandobast at various mosques in Chittoor, Palamaner, and Nagari town, and managed traffic to avoid congestion.

Meanwhile, in Annamayya district, celebrations were held on a grand scale at Madanapalle, Piler, Punganur, and Rayachoti towns. Thousands attended the morning prayers, marking the end of the fasting period. Many people were seen distributing food and offering charity as part of the occasion. Police kept vigil using drones and CCTV cameras.

The Ramzan festivities were witnessed across Sri Sathya Sai district, especially in Hindupur, Dharmavaram, and Kadiri divisions. Large crowds gathered for prayers, after which people visited friends and relatives. Traffic movement was regulated at key points to avoid congestions.
