Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will review the Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) of the 217th Course at the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal, on Saturday (June 13, 2026). The ceremony will mark the successful completion of pre-commissioning training of flight cadets from various branches of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

During the parade, Mr. Singh, who will serve as the Reviewing Officer, will confer the President’s Commission upon the graduating trainees. Flight cadets of the IAF, along with officers and trainees from the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, will also receive their Wings and Brevets on successful completion of training.

The ceremony will also mark a milestone with the commissioning of the first batch of women cadets from the National Defence Academy (NDA), Pune. The women cadets had passed out from the NDA on May 30, 2025, and subsequently underwent branch-specific training at the Air Force Academy.

The Defence Minister will present the President’s Plaque to the flight cadets who secure the first position in the overall order of merit in the Flying branch, Navigation stream and Ground Duty branches.
