In the wake of rain forecast for Telangana, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday (October 27, 2025) has directed officials to be on alert and take adequate precautions towards procurement of cotton, maize and grains. He instructed them to ensure farmers do not face any losses or inconvenience.

Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy would hold a video conference with collectors and officials concerned in the evening.

The State could receive rains under the impact of cyclone Montha. India Meteorological Department issued a weather alert predicting moderate to heavy rain in Mahabubabad, Nalgonda, Suryapet and Nagarkurnool on Monday, while light to moderate rain was forecast in the remaining 29 districts.
