The Cyberabad Police’s SHE Teams conducted 127 decoy operations between July 10 and July 17, leading to the apprehension of 20 persons caught red-handed while allegedly indulging in indecent acts at public places. During the week, the SHE Teams booked 31 petty cases and counselled the remaining offenders as part of their preventive enforcement measures.
The SHE Teams also received 32 complaints from women through various channels during the reporting period. The complaints were taken up for appropriate action and support.
As part of the nationwide Operation Muskaan, the Cyberabad Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) registered 35 cases under the Juvenile Justice Act and Child Labour laws across the Cyberabad Commissionerate limits. The operation resulted in the rescue of 190 children, including 185 boys and five girls, from situations involving child labour and other forms of exploitation.
The Women and Child Safety Wing also continued its family counselling initiatives during the week. Through Family Counselling Centres and Centres for Domestic and Emotional Well-being (CDEW), officials facilitated reconciliation efforts in 33 marital disputes, helping reunite couples with their families.
In addition to enforcement, the AHTU and SHE Teams conducted awareness programmes across various parts of Cyberabad. Around 4,503 people participated in these sessions, which focused on issues such as human trafficking, child trafficking, eve teasing, social media harassment, child marriages, child rights, child labour, stalking, begging, cyber bullying and cyber frauds.
