Cyberabad civic body steps up sanitation drive, enforces ‘No Bin No Trade’ policy

Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner G. Srijana on Wednesday, June 10 conducted a review meeting and directed officials to strengthen sanitation management across all wards, with a focus on accountability, regular monitoring and timely compliance with sanitation-related activities.

During the meeting, officials were instructed to ensure the daily operation of Swachh Auto Tippers (SAT) Autos and identify sanitation workers who have remained absent for prolonged periods. They were also directed to submit daily penalty reports in accordance with government orders without delay. The Commissioner stressed the strict implementation of the ‘No Bin No Trade’ policy.

The Commissioner further instructed officials to carry out joint inspections with the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) in all wards. Zonal Commissioners were directed to complete ward coverage by the end of June. She also called for the effective implementation of four-way waste segregation comprising dry waste, wet waste, sanitary waste and special care waste.

During the review meeting, the Commissioner elaborated on the provisions of the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules and stressed the need for strict adherence to the prescribed regulations, responsibilities and waste management practices by all field-level functionaries.
