Couple from Chennai donates study materials for government schools in Tiruvannamalai

As part of completion of silver jubilee year of service in donating books to government schools, octogenarian N. Subramanian and his wife from Chennai donated a set of supporting study materials up to Class V to students at government schools in Tiruvannamalai district.

According to a press release, despite their age, the couple took time to visit two government schools at Kalpoondi near Arani, Pelasur and Kuruvimalai villages, and Polur town to donate study materials to students. A. Muniraj, Chief Educational Officer (CEO), Tiruvannamalai, attended the event.

Being a native of Vannakkambadi village in Ranipet district, Mr. Subramanian has been donating around 20 books to government schools in Tiruvannamalai along with two schools in Ranipet district. During the visit, the couple also learnt that the headmaster of the schools said books donated by them for pre-school had been helped students immensely, the release added.
