Corteva Agriscience, an American pure-play agriculture company, has brought together farmers, agronomists, scientists and local community leaders in Nellore to showcase the performance of its innovative granular insecticide for rice, Mavilon.

The demonstration has created awareness on how to protect crops from damaging pests without repeated spray applications. The farmers saw stronger crop stands, healthier tillers, improved grain filling and fields that remained protected during some of the crop’s most critical growth stages.

“Unlike conventional approaches where farmers react after pests appear, Mavilon enables growers to stay ahead of the threat. Designed for a one-time application at 30-35 days after transplanting, Mavilon safeguards crop potential before significant damage occurs,” the company said.

“As Brown Planthopper (BPH) outbreaks intensify and labour constraints make timely spraying more difficult, rice growers are turning to convenient, long-lasting solutions like Mavilon that deliver consistent protection with less operational complexity,” it added.
