A video allegedly showing a Congress leader brandishing a firearm and dancing at a private function has gone viral on social media, triggering widespread criticism.

The person in the video has been identified as Mateen Patel, a close aide of M.Y. Patil, Afzalpur MLA. The incident reportedly took place during a wedding reception at a marriage hall in Kalaburagi city recently.

In the video, Mr. Patel is seen holding a gun and dancing to a popular song along with his friends, striking poses, and attempting to project a flamboyant image. The act of displaying a firearm at a public function has raised serious concerns over safety and law and order.

Though the authenticity of the video is yet to be officially verified, its circulation on social media has sparked widespread outrage, with many demanding action against him for violating norms and promoting gun culture in public places.
