Committee clears 25 subjects regarding medical colleges issues

The 59th Finance Committee and 243rd Executive Council meeting of universities took place on December 11, Thursday, at Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada.

Participants included Health and Family Welfare department’s Principal Secretary Saurabh Gaur, Department of AYUSH Commissioner K. Dinesh Kumar, university Vice-Chancellor, Registrar and others.

In the Finance Committee meeting, 11 subjects were discussed and all of them were approved, in the Executive Council meeting, 14 items were discussed and all of them were approved.

Some of the key topics discussed in the Executive Council include selection of suitable candidate for the post of Registrar, since the present Registrar’s tenure will end on January 26, 2026, selection of suitable candidate for the post of the Controller of Examination, as the present officer’s deputation will complete on December 31, 2025.

The executive committee directed the university to take steps in regards to the allotment of funds for research to each government medical college, for sports activities, and appointment of counsellors to prevent ragging and promote stress-free education for students.
