Coimbatore gang rape case: conviction in 125 days

The probe into the Coimbatore gang rape case was a challenge for the investigating team as the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister had instructed the police to submit the charge sheet within a month.

Coimbatore City Police Commissioner N. Kannan, who addressed the media on Saturday evening (March 7, 2026), said the police managed to trace and arrest the accused within 24 hours.
