Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy made a strong pitch for multinational companies to make investments in Telangana claiming that extraordinary opportunities await global investors.

The State, which was part of erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh, was administered by Governments of several political parties over decades, but all these Governments supported investments and investors since the past three and a half decades. He exhorted the investors claiming that Telangana was youngest, most exciting and successful States and its capital Hyderabad is centrally located with no major security risks and was endowed with good weather and world class infrastructure.

“We are the gateway to the Indian market and a major destination for the global capability centres (GCC),” he said addressing the business leaders at the US India Strategic Partnership Forum in New Delhi on Thursday (November 13, 2025). The Chief Minister listed the achievements of the Congress Government in the last 23 months and said his Government’s focus for the future included economic empowerment of women, best education and skills, and urban development. The Government is focused, in particular, on making Hyderabad a truly world class city with best amenities and highest quality of living,” he said.

Mr. Reddy invited top global academic institutions to the State, asserting that once institutions like Harvard, Stanford or Oxford set up offshore campus in Hyderabad, several students from global south could attend these ivy league programmes because of easier visa rules and lower costs. He pitched ambitious projects like Bharat Future city and Musi river rejuvenation and said the Bharat Future City would be the country’s most developed world class city in 30,000 acres. Once the rejuvenation project is completed, Musi river riverfront would match the experience of London, Tokyo, Dubai or Seoul adding night economy to the city’s cycle.

Explaining the initiatives like creation of a dry port, expansion of metro rail, Regional Ring Road and proposed manufacturing zones between regional and Outer Ring Roads, he said Telangana was aiming to become the global answer to China+1 alternative. The Government was committed to name important roads after the corporates. “In India, most roads are named after political leader. Let us change that in Hyderabad to have Google or Meta or TCS or Infosys street,” he said.

CM’s pitch for investments receives great support

The Chief Minister’s pitch for investments — as part of his vision of making Telangana US 1 trillion economy by 2034 and US $ 3 trillion by 2047 — found enthusiastic support at the annual conclave. Cisco former CEO and tech legend, John Chambers, described Mr. Reddy’s vision for Telangana as “bold, clear, very achievable”, and promised his fullest support. Mr Chambers said that Mr. Reddy’s description of game-changer projects and their social impact was very impressive.

USISPF CEO and president, Mukesh Aghi, assured that most of the members of the forum would try and attend the TelanganaRising Global Summit being organised by the state on December 8 and 9 to unveil and showcase the comprehensive vision for the State.
