CM condoles death of 3 persons from T.N. in Qatar fire

Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Tuesday condoled the deaths of three persons from Tamil Nadu who lost their lives in a fire accident that occurred on June 21 at a factory in the Ras Laffan Industrial Area in Qatar.

In a statement, Mr. Vijay said Babith, Sajithkumar and Suvin, all natives of Tirunelveli district, died in the tragic fire accident. Steps are being taken through the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Qatar to bring the bodies of the deceased to Tamil Nadu. He also instructed Minister for Non-Resident Tamils Welfare K. Thennarasu to take swift action in this matter, the official statement said.

Mr. Vijay also ordered that a solatium of ₹10 lakh each be provided to the families of the deceased from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund.
