HYDERABAD

More than 10,000 Christian organisations working in India have lost their Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) licences since its amendment in 2011. Now, a proposed amendment to the legislation is likely to grant sweeping powers to the designated authority to take over the assets of an established organisation under the FCRA regulation.
