City students shine in international essay competitions

Hyderabad

Students of Delhi Public School (DPS), Nacharam, excelled in international essay competitions, earning recognition both as a team and individually.

A three-member middle school team comprising Rudransh Reddy Kanmanthreddy (14), Rahul Nandy (14), and Srikriti Savitri Kolli (12), secured second place in India at the Harvard Political Review middle-school competition that witnessed participation from more than 340 students representing 24 countries and over 140 schools worldwide.

Among the individual achievers, Rudransh Reddy won the second prize in India for his essay titled “When Inflation Redefines Politics: How Argentina’s Economic Crisis Is Transforming Its Political Future.”

Rahul Nandy received a merit award for his essay “The Price of Power: How Economic Volatility Is Shaping Our Political Future.”

Meanwhile, Srikriti Savitri Kolli emerged as a $500 scholarship winner in the Lumiere Research essay competition. She also advanced to the interview stage and was selected for a research opportunity in medicine and Artificial Intelligence at Yale University. The programme also offers the potential to earn credits from the University of California, San Diego, a press release said.
