Canadian International School (CIS), Bengaluru, will be hosting the Terry Fox Run (TFR) 2025 in association with the Terry Fox Foundation at its campus in Yelahanka on September 20.

The run is scheduled to start at the CIS campus, from where the participants will travel around the neighbourhood and the lake in Manchenahalli before returning at the campus.

The TFR is an annual non-competitive charity event held in numerous regions around the world in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox and his ‘Marathon of Hope’ to raise money for cancer research. Hundreds of participants from various schools, colleges, and organisations across the city are expected to take part in this 5-km run.

The school aims to raise around ₹25 lakh this year, in support of cancer research at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.

The run is open to all students, teachers, and parents across Bengaluru. Participants can walk, jog, bike, skate, or run at their own pace. Registration for participating in the event is free.

Participants and others can contribute to the cause by making an online donation to the Terry Fox Foundation, or by purchasing a TFR T-shirt. All proceeds raised will be donated to the designated charity here in India to further cancer research, stated an official release from CIS.

For further details, reach out to tfr@cisb.org.in/ info@cisb.org.in, or dial 9591003005/ 080 67594444 EXT. 242.
