The annual session of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-Rajasthan was held in Jaipur on Thursday (March 12, 2026) with a call to promote entrepreneurship among the youth and achieve $4.30 trillion economy for the State by 2047. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma addressed a conference on ‘Viksit Rajasthan’ on the occasion.

Mr. Sharma said the conditions in the State were conducive for economic growth and the State government had taken several decisions to create an investment friendly environment, encourage innovations, ensure ease of doing business and give single window clearance to the industries.

“Rajasthan will play a key role in realising the goal of Developed India. Based on the target of ‘Viksit Rajasthan-2047’, a roadmap is being prepared for the overall development of village panchayats and urban local bodies,” Mr. Sharma said.

The Chief Minister said the State government had introduced as many as 34 new policies to create a conducive environment for industries. The local specialities of districts were being promoted through the ‘One District, One Product’ scheme, he said, adding that the rural infrastructure would be improved to enable the villagers to live and work there.

Mr. Sharma handed over appointment letters for private sector employment to 12 youngsters and vouchers for entrepreneurship to five women on the occasion. CII-Rajasthan chairman Sanjay Agarwal said Rajasthan had recorded an impressive growth rate of 10.2%, while the country’s GDP growth rate stood at 8.6%.

Chief Secretary V. Srinivas and CII Northern Region chairperson Anjali Singh were among those who attended the annual session.
