GITAM High School on Saturday (January 24) organised an event titled ‘Little insects to help us’ to educate children about the importance of insects in an ecosystem. During the event, pre-primary students dressed as insects participated in a ‘Little Worms Parade’ on the school campus here, much to the delight of the audience.

The programme was aimed at instilling environmental responsibility in young minds and help them understand the role of every creature in maintaining a healthy ecosystem.

Principal Kinnera Sridevi emphasised the importance of going beyond books and study materials in imparting education. Correspondent Tammineni Venkateswarlu said the purpose of education is not only securing jobs, but also developing essential life skills.

GATE College principal Raja Sekhar and Viswam School Correspondent N.Viswa Chandan Reddy participated as guests and lauded the attempt to promote environmental awareness among young learners.
