Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi on Thursday (January 09,2026) embarked units of the Eastern Naval Command, Poorvi Beda, at sea to review their operational readiness and combat preparedness.

Indian Navy informed that during the embarkation, Admiral Tripathi witnessed a series of advanced operational drills conducted in a multi-threat environment, including complex fleet manoeuvres, weapon firings and flying operations.

He was also briefed on the preparedness of platforms and personnel, underscoring the Eastern Fleet’s capability to operate effectively across the full spectrum of maritime operations.

Addressing the personnel, Admiral Tripathi commended the Eastern Naval Command for maintaining a consistently high operational tempo. He praised the force’s emphasis on sustaining battle-ready platforms, achieving precision in ordnance delivery and ensuring mission effectiveness under demanding operational conditions.

The CNS highlighted the pivotal role of well-trained and motivated human capital—the men and women in whites—in the optimal employment of modern weapons, sensors and uncrewed systems within a fully networked operational environment.

Reaffirming the Indian Navy’s ethos and mandate, Admiral Tripathi stated that such levels of preparedness and professionalism are central to safeguarding India’s national maritime interests—anytime, anywhere, anyhow.
