The A. Ramachandran Museum, dedicated to the renowned painter, will be opened at the Sree Narayana Guru Cultural Complex in Kollam on October 5, 2025. It will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at 11 a.m.
Kerala Lalithakala Akademi chairperson Murali Cheeroth said the museum would showcase the artist’s complete body of work. Along with his paintings, the exhibits will feature his celebrated sculptures, ceramics, stamp designs, and children’s books.
Logo released
The logo of the museum, developed from Ramachandran’s famous painting Song of the Simbal Tree, was recently unveiled in Thiruvananthapuram by Tourism Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas.
Culture Minister Saji Cherian, Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal, Animal Husbandry Minister J. Chinchurani, Transport Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar, Ramachandran’s wife and painter Tan Yuan Chameli, their son Rahul Ramachandran, daughter Sujatha Ramachandran and others will attend the function.
