Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy invited Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to a programme of administering a mass pledge against tobacco, alcohol and drugs and also education kits distribution programme being organised on the occasion of the reopening of schools on June 12.
The Chief Minister met the Governor at the Lok Bhavan on Monday and briefed Mr. Shukla about the State government ‘s new scheme of distribution of educational kits, which contains uniforms, textbooks, notebooks, school bags, sportswear, and other essential study material.
The CM explained the steps taken to curb the drug menace in the schools and colleges by instructing the management to remain vigilant to ensure that students within their institutions do not fall prey to drug abuse.
