The officials on Monday (August 10, 2026) announced that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the 21.77-km Seed Access Road and the MLA-MLC residential complexes in Amaravati on Thursday (August 13).
The Seed Access Road, a major sub-arterial road in the Amaravati capital region, is set to provide connectivity across the capital city by linking the N1 and N17 roads. The road, designated as E3, begins at Dondapadu and passes through Rayapudi, Venkatapalem, Penumaka, Undavalli, and Tadepalli before merging with NH-16 near Manipal Hospitals. It is being executed in three phases—E3 Phase-1 (14.35 km), Phase-2 (3.92 km), and Phase-3 (3.50 km)—with a 60-meter right-of-way throughout.
According to the information, phases 1 and 2 have a nine-lane carriageway, along with a central Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) and two 11-metre-wide service roads. Storm-water drains have been provided on both sides, while water supply, reuse, ICT and gas utilities are planned on the right-hand side and medium-voltage power and sewer lines on the left. Dedicated cycle tracks, sidewalks, green belts, and medians have also been incorporated into the design.
BRTS connectivity has already been opened to the public along the completed stretches from Dondapadu to Undavalli, adjoining the Karakatta Road near the ISKCON temple.
The phase-3 starts at the 18.270-km point and extends for 3.50 km to NH-16. To provide immediate access to the capital, the stretch includes a 280-metre major steel bridge, a 360-metre four-lane road, and a 110-metre steel bridge across the Buckingham Canal. The nine-lane road will continue at grade for 270 metres before transitioning into a six-lane elevated corridor up to NH-16.
Ahead of the Chief Minister’s visit, senior officials inspected the arrangements at the steel bridge area on Monday. ADC Chairperson and Managing Director D. Lakshmi Parthasarathi, Guntur Collector C.M. Saikanth Varma, SP Vakul Jindal, Joint Collector Ashutosh Srivastava, and APCRDA Additional Commissioner Kollabathula Karthik reviewed the works.
Officials also inspected beautification works at Buckingham Canal and ongoing works near the meeting venue, Guntur Channel, and Kondaveeti Vagu, directing staff to complete preparations expeditiously.
