The Deputy Commissioner of the Chamarajanagar district, Shreeroopa, has issued directions to educational institutions not to compel students to wear blazers, ties, and heavy uniforms due to the heatwave conditions sweeping the district.

The Deputy Commissioner’s statement was issued on Saturday (April 18, 2026), when the Chamarajanagar district recorded a maximum temperature of 38.8 degrees.
