This year’s Chaliyar River Paddle kayaking expedition will begin on Friday. P.V. Abdul Wahab, MP, and Aryadan Shoukath, MLA, will flag off the expedition at Nilambur.
The Chaliyar River Paddle is claimed to be the second longest kayaking expedition in Asia. The expedition will conclude at Cheruvannur in Kozhikode on October 5 evening.
Jellyfish Water Sports Club, Kozhikode, is organising the event in association with the State Tourism department and Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society.
As many as 75 paddlers from across the country are expected to paddle 68 km along the Chaliyar in the three-day event.
