Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), a subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), has successfully concluded India’s largest mega tender for 10,900 electric buses under the PM E-DRIVE Scheme. The initiative is projected to cut over 4 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions across five major cities, while reducing noise pollution and improving air quality. CESL CEO Akhilesh Kumar Dixit thanked the Ministries of Heavy Industries and Power for supporting a transparent tendering process. Andhra Pradesh will receive 750 e-buses, including 150 for Visakhapatnam, boosting clean, cost-effective urban mobility, according to a press release on Sunday.
