Census portal shows Chinese name for Arunachal Pradesh town; issue fixed, say officials

A retired Indian Air Force (IAF) officer raised concerns on Saturday (April 18, 2026) that the self-enumeration portal for the ongoing Census exercise wrongly depicted Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh as a town named Medog in China.

Following this, the Census officials said on Saturday evening that the issue has been resolved.
