The Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths have arrested a rowdy-sheeter in Kodigehalli Police Station limits for allegedly creating fear among the public while carrying a long machete near Tree Boulevard on GKVK Road in north Bengaluru’s Sahakara Nagar.

The accused has been identified as Madhusudhan alias Katri, 33, allegedly found roaming within the Kodigehalli Police Station limits armed with the deadly weapon. Based on credible information, the CCB’s Organised Crime Squad (East) team conducted an operation on July 24 and arrested the accused.

During interrogation, the accused allegedly revealed that he had stored additional deadly weapons at his residence, which prompted the police to register a case against him under the Arms Act.

Further investigation revealed that the accused is an associate of a rowdy-sheeter from Kadubeesanahalli in east Bengaluru and is involved in eight criminal cases, including a murder case.

The Kodigehalli police and the CCB team later conducted a joint search at the residence of the accused and seized eight deadly weapons that had been illegally stored there.
