Cauvery delta region expands as T.N. government adds 38 revenue villages

The Tamil Nadu government has added 38 revenue villages to the Srimushnam taluk in the Cauvery delta region.

In July this year, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced that these villages would be included in the Cauvery delta region. According to a G.O. issued by the Water Resources Department, the 38 revenue villages were previously part of the Kattumannarkoil taluk before it was bifurcated.

The 38 revenue villages are: Anandhakudi, Kokkarasanpettai, Mathakalirmanickam, Sri Sathamangalam, Gunamangalam, Melpuliyangudi, Kallippadi, Ayankeelpuliyangudi, Keelpuliyangudi, Sriputhur, Nagarappadi, Srivakkaramari, Srimushnam, Thorankuppam, Sri Adivaraganallur, Thethampattu, Kozhai, Sathavattam, Srinedunjeri, Koodalaiyathur, Kanur, Valasakkadu, Kurinjikudi, Perur, Kavalakkudi, Mudikandanallur, Mazhavarayanallur, Kumarakkudi, Kothandavilagam, Nangudi, Nandeeswaramangalam, Vattathur, Pudayur, Sozhattharam, Palayamkottai Keezhpathi, Vadakkupalayam, Palayamkottai Melpathi, and Ramapuram.
