With mercury levels rising in Chennai, the heat of the political campaigns has also intensified. AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami resumed his campaign in Velachery, and covered the Assembly constituencies of Saidapet, Virugambakkam, T. Nagar, Anna Nagar, Villivakkam, Kolathur, and Perambur on Wednesday.

He touched upon issues of immediate significance to people, such as inundation of roads, inflation, and the hike in the rates of property and water taxes.
