A 19-year-old pharmacy student was found dead at her paying guest accommodation in Soladevanahalli on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased, identified as Vatsala, a native of Hassan, was a second-year BPharm student at a private college on Hesaraghatta Road.

Her roommates found her dead in her room around 2.30 p.m. They alerted the PG owner, who informed the police.

A police team arrived at the spot and shifted the body for a post-mortem. The police said that no suicide note was found in the room. Police are questioning her friends and hostel mates to understand possible reasons behind the extreme step. Her mobile phone has been seized for forensic analysis.

The Soladevanahalli police have registered a case of unnatural death and further investigation is under way.
