The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), in coordination with the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), has introduced new bus stops near two Metro stations to improve first and last-mile connectivity for commuters.

The new facilities came into effect from October 6 following a joint inspection of the locations by BMRCL and BMTC.

On the Purple Line, a new bus stop has been provided near Entrance B of Cubbon Park Metro Station, on the Chinnaswamy Stadium side. The stop will serve buses coming from the Indian Express bus stop side and travelling towards Shantinagar via Anil Kumble Circle.

Another bus stop has been introduced near Entrance C of the station for buses travelling from the Anil Kumble Circle side towards Lok Bhavan. A new bus stop has also been provided at Tavarekere Metro Station on the upcoming Pink Line. It will serve buses travelling from Dairy Circle towards Bannerghatta and those travelling from the Jayadeva Hospital side towards Dairy Circle.
