The BJP and TDP leaders held a protest against the Congress party for staging a demonstration during the recently held India AI Impact Summit – 2026 at Delhi, in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. They decried that the protest by the Youth Congress when an international event was taking place was against the interests of the country.

BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav, TDP A. P. unit president Palla Srinivasa Rao, BJP MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju and other leaders of the two parties participated in the protest.

Addressing the protesters, Mr Madhav said the Youth Congress activists tried to disrupt a global event in which over 2.5 lakh observers, 600 start-ups’, 3,250 experts and representatives from 13 countries participated. The protest by the Congress at an event inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is unwarranted and an international event was made a platform for political showdown, he alleged.

Mr. Madhav said that the protest at the Summit, where representatives of 88 companies signed the New Delhi Declaration, has brought immense disrepute to the country. He asked the Congress not to bring disrepute to the country by staging protests at international platforms.
