A special BJP State executive meeting will be held on February 19 at the Palace Grounds in Bengaluru. Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav will inaugurate the executive.

According to BJP State general secretary P. Rajeev, the meeting will adopt four resolutions – two complimenting the Union government and two condemning the State government.

“The first resolution will welcome the Union budget, describing it as visionary, development-oriented, and the one having tremendous potential to realize the dream of Viksith Bharat by 2047,” he said.

The second resolution will compliment the Union government for restructuring the earlier MNREGA and transforming it to VB-G-RAM-G in order to remove the loopholes and make it more accountable, transparent and effective, he noted.

The third resolution will hammer the Congress government for its “abysmal failure” on the issue of Bengaluru’s overall infrastructure, he said.

“The Congress government headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has made the day-to-day life of the common man in Bangalore miserable. This would be the thrust and focus of the resolution,” Mr. Rajeev added.

He said, “The fourth resolution will focus on the overall failures of the Congress government in the State during the last two years and nine months, with thrust on absence of semblance of governance, abject failure on law & order front, including growing tendency on the part of the Congress workers to become law unto themselves in different parts of the state.”

The proposed executive would also discuss the ways and means of strengthening the party organization, sources in the party said. BJP national organising general secretary B.L. Santhosh is also participating in the executive.
