The Revenue and Labour departments, headed by Krishna Byre Gowda and Santosh Lad respectively, came in for praise in the Legislative Council on Friday by a BJP member.
Y.M. Satish (BJP) remarked that these were the “only two departments” functioning in a citizen-friendly manner.
Referring to the law and order situation in the State, he cited the recent violence in Ballari and alleged that anyone who spoke against the local MLA was being targeted.
Expressing concern for his own safety, he sought adequate security. “Except for the Revenue and Labour departments, no other department is functioning in a manner that meets the aspirations of the people,” he claimed.
