Ahead of the Assembly election, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday (October 3, 2025) transferred ₹2,500 crore into the bank accounts of 25 lakh women across Bihar giving financial assistance of ₹10,000 each under Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana.

Both Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha were present during the programme organised in Patna at the Chief Minister’s Office.

Earlier on September 26, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had transferred the fund of ₹7,500 crore to the bank accounts of 75 lakh women through video conferencing from Delhi.
