After heavy rain wreaked havoc across the city on April 29 and 30, uprooting scores of trees, pourakarmikas and forest cell officials of the Bengaluru city corporations have had hectic work days clearing the debris.

Even three days after the downpour, uprooted trees and snapped branches were still being removed on Saturday, underscoring the scale of the damage inflicted on the city. The situation persists despite coordinated efforts by the Bengaluru Traffic Police, NGOs, volunteer groups, and other agencies that have joined the clean-up operations.
