A 21-year-old student of a private college has lodged a complaint at the East CEN Crime Police Station, alleging that her intimate photographs were leaked and circulated on multiple adult websites, while an unidentified person claiming to be a hacker threatened to create and publish AI-generated explicit images if she refused to send more private photographs.

According to the complaint, the student first learnt about the leak on June 26, when a friend informed her that around 50 photographs of her had been uploaded on the website. She subsequently filed a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.

Two days later, she received WhatsApp messages from an international number allegedly belonging to a self-proclaimed hacker, who informed her that another album containing about 50 images had been uploaded to another website. The complainant alleged that when she requested the removal of the content, the sender demanded more intimate photographs in exchange for deleting the posts.

She further alleged that after she refused to comply, the sender threatened to upload a “part 2” containing fabricated sexually explicit images and videos, claiming that people would believe they were genuine. The threats, she said, caused her severe mental trauma and humiliation.

The student also alleged that some of the same photographs were later uploaded to another website through a forum, where they were being circulated further.

In her complaint, the student stated that the photographs had originally been shared in confidence with modelling agents between 2023 and 2024, when she was 18 or 19 years old and pursuing modelling opportunities. She said the images were provided solely for portfolio assessment and were never intended for publication or circulation.

The police have registered a case and have launched an investigation.
