The Government of Telangana on Friday (September 26, 2025) appointed B. Shivadhar Reddy as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Telangana. Mr. Shivadhar Reddy, a 1994 Indian Police Service officer, previously served as the Director General of Police, Intelligence, Telangana.
As per an official order issued by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao on Friday, he has been transferred and posted as the Director General of Police (Coordination) and is also placed in “full additional charge” of the post of Director General of Police (Head of Police Force) for Telangana, replacing the retiring DGP, Jitender.
