The K.V. Rao Centre for Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics was inaugurated at Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha School of Engineering, Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education (Deemed to be University), in Vijayawada, on Monday.
The centre was inaugurated as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education, in the presence of dignitaries from the legislative, academic, and industry sectors.
Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, who participated in the programme as the chief guest, emphasised the growing importance of cybersecurity in governance and public safety. He said institutions of higher education must play a proactive role in producing skilled cyber professionals to safeguard national digital infrastructure.
There is an urgent need for cyber awareness and digital forensics expertise in the era of rapid digitisation, Deputy Speaker K. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju said, while appreciating the academy’s initiative in establishing a dedicated centre aligned with contemporary technological challenges.
Kakinada Seaports chairman and managing director K.V. Rao, after whom the Centre is named, expressed his confidence that the facility would nurture industry-ready professionals.
