Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the State Government would launch “Auto Driverla Sevalo’ scheme on October 4, 2025 to ensure financial assistance for auto drivers across the State.

He said the ₹15,000 financial assistance scheme would be extended to nearly 2.9 lakh auto drivers whose income has dropped with the introduction of “Stree Shakti” free bus scheme for women on August 15 on the occasion of Independence Day.

Stree Shakti will foster women’s financial independence, says Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu

Mr. Chandrababu formally distributed social security pensions to elderly people under NTR Bharosa scheme in Datti village of Gajapathinagaram Assembly constituency of Vizianagaram district on Wednesday (October 1, 2025).

Speaking on the occasion, he said the government would take care of all sections of society including auto drivers to lead happy life. He said that the government would spend around Rs.435 crores for the ‘Auto Driverla Sevalo’ scheme.

Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said the government was taking decisions to reduce electricity charges which were enhanced during the previous government. He promised to spend around ₹2,000 crores for the completion of irrigation projects of North Andhra districts.

The Chief Minister hoped that the region would witness quick development with the construction of international airport at Bhogapuram located on NH-16 which covered Srikakulam-Vizianagaram-Visakhapatnam districts

Minister for MSME and NRI affairs said the government had spent around ₹48,019 crore in the last six months for the disbursement of social security pensions for needy people. Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy handed over ₹5 lakh worth cheque to Palleda Dhanunjaya Naidu, a native of Datti village under P-4 zero poverty scheme.

The Collector was appreciated by the Chief Minister and other public representatives for quickly arranging the cheque on the direction of Mr. Naidu. Joint Collector Sedhu Madhavan, Vizianagaram Superintendent of Police A.R. Damodar and other officials coordinated the arrangements for the Chief Minister’s tour.
