The Kerala High Court on Monday (August 3, 2026) allowed the bail petitions of nine accused in the attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials during the raid on former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s residence in Thiruvananthapuram in May 2026.
Justice Kauser Edappagath allowed the bail, with conditions, reasoning that the accused have been in remand for more than 60 days and that they had no other criminal history. The court also noted that the offence of attempted murder could not be made out against the accused and that the investigation had reached its final stage.
The raid was conducted by the ED officials on the residences of Mr. Vijayan in Kannur and Thiruvananthapuram. It was connected to the inquiry into Exalogic Solutions, a now-defunct firm, owned by T. Veena, Mr. Vijayan’s daughter, on the allegations that the company was receiving monthly payments from Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL), a private mining company.
