On the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, the Tamil Nadu Suthanthira Poratta Veerargal Varisugal Nala Sangam on Friday paid tributes to freedom fighters, including Kasturi Ranga Iyengar, former Editor and Managing Director of The Hindu, in Chennai. Over 60 members of the association gathered at Jivana Jyoti on the ICSA premises in Egmore and paid tributes to the decorated portraits of hundreds of freedom fighters and journalists, including V.O. Chidambaram, Subramania Siva, Tiruppur Kumaran and Thiru. Vi. Kalyanasundaram. The association also felicitated the heirs of freedom fighters.
