Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive in Puducherry on Friday (April 3, 2026) to hold a road show, aiming to galvanise support for the NDA candidates ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls.

In West Bengal, authorities imposed Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) to prevent further clashes between BJP and TMC workers outside the Election Commission office in Kolkata, according to a police officer.
